November Birthdays
Wednesday, November 28th, 2007
My lolo (grandfather), Tita Janet and mommy celebrated their birthdays all together in just a week. Lolo on the 12th, Tita janet on the 15th and mommy 17th. So we had the celebration bundled up in one day so we hooked up with some family and enjoyed a sumptuous lunch at Hometown Buffet. The only place where my lolo wants to eat.
Aging… but Happy
Thursday, November 15th, 2007
Yay! am aging two babies had been held by my arms. Though aging is the least of my worries as I am still pampered by almost everyone in the family, I am just so amazed to realize I got two younger cousins whom I had cared and carried in my arms. As mommy would say…Way to Go Jamie!
This was taken two (2) years ago. Now, I have a new born cousin, Anica, Darryl’s baby sister and I am also able to take care of her. Deng, am old!
Yay Am old…really, really old.
Griffin Park in La Mesa
Monday, November 12th, 2007It was far but was worth it. Lola tagged us, Darryl and I along with her with of course mom and dad at her co-worker’s grandson’s 1st B-day at the above mentioned park. It was not far different from the community park we had in our area but the excitement of lying around and horsing sound was quite a nip . Playground was jam packed with people since long weekend is yet to come. Leaves are everywhere, it made aware it’s the fall season after all. Oh, i loved basking on he ground and gasping for my breathe as i conquer my fear of climbing and sliding on my own. Oh well, Darryl and I did a real pretty good job, huh! You can see in our smiles i guess
Unharmed and undamaged
Wednesday, November 7th, 2007It’s been quiet a while since I last logged in to this account. Much had happened and had been said about our recent bout with one thousand and one scary and crazy events….everybody knows by now i suppose, it’s been in the news for the longest time. It started as a wild fire… then became a firestorm. We were sleeping soundly at home then all of a sudden we were asked to vacate… i was disoriented so was Darryl but the rest of the family are packing important documents…daddy packed his hard drives and a cpu. His work stuff are all accounted for it almost filled our van.
We stayed in a hotel for a night. Mommy figured out it would be best for us there instead of staying in an evacuation area. But looking all the things that was happening in Qualcom(an evacuation area) i can’t help but say “we should be staying there…food ’s flooding over there” which mom would retort ” yeah…(with sarcasam) and be sick after. Qualcomm is an open stadium both I and Darryl easily catch cold. So staying in a hotel was actually a sound idea. The following night we stayed at my grandpa’s brother Grandpa Art (we fondly call him lolo totoy). The following day had been a good day for us since we were allowed to go back home. School was canceled for one whole week as air quality in the area sucks. The unpacking part and the fixing of our things around the house was tough. But we were still lucky nothing had been burned nor damage with us. We still emerged in this disaster in full spirits, unharmed and undamaged and still with great faith. A few photos of us during our displaced days… yay! we look still just fine
