Truck looks good. I can see the form symmetry she has done. But in color symmetry, she missed one part there. The blue piece on one side and black on the other side.

I can see form and function in there. Obviously she knows the steering wheel goes in front to control the truck and she decides to place something at the back.

I guess she adds that based on experience in vehicles she has seen where generally they are small in front and large at the back. After seeing it for some time it tend to be the "right" appearance without knowing what is the right appearance. Without knowing about aerodynamic streamlining. Or she might be viewing it as a spoiler which can be see in several cars, although some may look at it as an aesthetic add on, it is really a reversed wing. As wings let planes go off the ground at high speeds, a reversed wing lets you go lower on the ground at high speeds giving a car better traction.

Mommy, have you asked Jamie, what are those just to get her views? Most probably if you ask what it is, she may not have a definite answer, nor a correct one, but I am just curious. And most probably if you dig into what she thinks, I believe it is simply just because "thats the way it supposed to look" based on current surroundings.

It is like grammar sometimes, you sometimes know what is correct and wrong grammar, but you do not know the rules behind it. (but not everyone has this talent.)

Jamie, you are 3 right now, going on 4 next month. 4 is the age I can remember in my childhood. I cannot remember 3. And I must say that my Lego work when I was 4, was not like that. It was not as good as yours right now, and I think my Lego skills were also an influence from other people I have played with as a child at age 6 from Joel Arcellana and Benny Garcia.

Suggestions to Mommy...

After she creates her work, give her problems like... What it is rains? The driver will get wet... But if you drive too fast, it becomes to windy... So she thinks and might consider adding a windshield or roof.

From the format of the letter from Teacher Rhoda, this is a clear KKK format. I use the KKK format in anything, even with my own clients. The KKK format is the Kiss-Kick-Kiss. And the KKK given to Jamie in a few words is: Smart - Short Attention Span - Independent. I don't mind the "kick" Jamie got. She is still young. I can even relate to that. Because my attention span is driven by interest and even up to now, I carry this behavior in doing websites. On a hard web development project I haven't done yet, and thinking how to do it interest me. So I work hard on it. From the very momment I find out how to do it, even if the project is not yet finished. I start to work slower and tend to become bored. Simply because I already know how it is done. And finishing the project is like a struggle within myself to just get the job done. Having this in mind, I know it is a negative thing, I start thinking of something else. And focus on the business side of things. Moving my interest into customer satisfaction and further growth. But in reality, I am just fooling myself, playing with thoughts in my head so I can get through with a project. Switching projects help for me. But the bottom line is, pag alam ko na, parang ayaw ko na. She is still 3 and she can learn ways of fooling herself(lolz) like I do to myself as she get's older.

I bet Mommy is enjoying the lessons as much as you are Jamie. As you remind her of her ballet lessons as a child too.
